Keeping Things Warm
First and foremost, let’s address the main question on everyone’s mind: how do you stay warm during an outdoor ceremony? While this can largely depend on the weather on the day of your wedding, it’s best to have a plan in place that allows everyone to feel as comfortable as possible. This includes having blankets, mitts/gloves, hand warmers, and plenty of warm beverages (like our hot chocolate bar!) on hand to help people beat the chill. Ensure that guests are aware that the venue will be outside so they have plenty of time to plan ahead and dress appropriately as well.
Have A Back Up Plan
The unfortunate reality with any outdoor ceremony is that sometimes mother nature simply makes conditions too harsh to proceed with your original plan. While the mountains do have plenty of mild winter days, heavy snowfall and extreme temperatures can happen at a moment’s notice. To avoid disappointment, its always best to work with your venue to secure a backup location where possible. That way you’ll always have peace of mind and can focus on the celebration at hand!
